I've been there, used the accessable room before and enjoyed my stay. The breakfast in a box has issues. A pair of scissors are required to open the milk and I found the hedge near the left-hand side of the Disabled parking needed trimming.
Linda on reception was lovely! A credit to the company and I felt went above and beyond to give great service. She gave us knowledge of the local area and was very friendly. Thanks, Linda!
Super friendly, clean, quiet and well equipped, and in a perfect location for Durham and the North East with great access to bus routes to Durham station or Newcastle, and easy access to main roads out to the A1(M) too. Pub next door is lovely too. Highly recommend!
Very clean,quiet and great location for Beamish. Don't expect anything fancy it's basically a very clean and comfortable room at a great rate. We always use travel lodges.
Rooms were great but I can only give 4 stars as the tap wouldn't budge either way in our shower and looked like it had had a few industrial tools used on it in the past. Rest was clean & comfortable.

Two separate visits. The most friendly reception staff on the first visit (two ladies), less so on the second visit. An older, but functional Travelodge. Nice to have windows open on arrival so that room was fresh. Front of building has road noise, but fine. Rear of building has smoke from smokers garden area and noise from visitors, along with people coming / going. Nice enough place.
We booked this stay as we were travelling from the South to Newcastle airport. It was in the idea position for us, and booked in advance it was a good price. We arrived around 8pm and the Travelodge had plenty of parking, which is shared with the pub next to it. The room we had was large and comfortable with the usual facilities. We had a warm and bright welcome from the friendly reception staff (apologies I cannot remember his name), which was nice after the long drive up. From the corridor there is an adjoining door to the pub which you can use, but this was locked when we were there. However it is a very short walk from front door to front door. I would also recommend the pub for food. All in all a good place to stay.
